J. Maalouf, Ph.D. - Principal and Founder

Dr.
Maalouf has held senior positions in the
biopharmaceutical and computer industries including
Head of Protein Discovery Bioinformatics and
Structural Genomics, Genetics Institute / Wyeth;
Director of Computational Biology, Digital Equipment
Corporation / Compaq; Vice President of Research
Computing and Information Systems, NeoGenesis
Pharmaceuticals; and Chief Information and
Operations Officer, Genomix Corporation. He has
published in a number of areas including predictive
modeling of protein structure, protein and small
molecule interactions, molecular biology,
computational aspects of nuclear magnetic resonance
spectroscopy (NMR) and X-ray crystallography. His
scientific and technical expertise includes
computational chemistry, computational biology,
informatics, pipelines, databases, genomic analyses,
protein structure, lead series, data integration,
knowledge management, client/server and high
throughput computing, and quantum mechanics.
Dr.
Maalouf received his B.S. in Chemistry from the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his Ph.D.
in Molecular Biophysics from Harvard University. |
